About Lopez Island
Lopez Island is known as the “friendly” island of the San Juan Islands, and is a destination for outdoor activities such as road cycling, kayaking, beach combing, and day hiking. Most couples who attend a couples retreat comment on the enormous value of leaving the stress of work and home life behind and retreating to the tranquility and beauty of the San Juan Islands.
Because the retreat is so effective at building positivity and connection in your relationship, I highly recommend that you stay an extra day on Lopez Island to vacation and practice your new skills before jumping back into the busyness of life at home.
There are many options for lodging. We recommend The Edenwild Inn in Lopez Village, just a 5 minute walk from my office. There are also many other options through VRBO and AirB&B. I’m happy to provide other recommendations.

Located across the street from my office, the Lopez Farmer’s Market runs May through September. The market features many local foods and crafts, plus some very good tacos!
