Dr. Christina Strauch is a Licensed Psychologist with six years of professional experience helping children, adolescents, and their families with a wide range of challenges. Christina specializes in treating children and teens with ADHD, anxiety, trauma, and behavioral problems, as well as supporting caregivers who might feel frustrated, disappointed, or guilty, as they navigate the rewarding but often challenging process of child rearing. Christina works as a team with children, teens, and their families, supporting them to step out of their comfort zone, try something new, and remain consistent in their behavioral change. She brings expertise in child development and psychology and believes her clients bring expertise about themselves, and/or their child or family. She provides tools and strategies to her clients, and clients work to implement them. After reporting back what is helpful and what is not, she problem-solves with her client and adjusts as needed.

With a primary focus in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused CBT, as well as a strong emphasis on behavioral intervention, the therapies Christina uses focus on reinforcing positive behaviors–so they occur more often–and decreasing undesirable behavior. She helps clients recognize the relationships between their thoughts, feelings, and actions so they can make appropriate changes in one or more areas to relieve distress. Christina tailors services to clients while staying true to the type of therapy she practices, and believes there is more than one way to approach a problem; what works well for one client may not be as helpful for another. With a balanced, warm, collaborative, curious and playful presence, Dr. Strauch truly loves working with children, teens, and their families and enjoys doing trauma-focused work and behavior management work.
