Relationship struggles, and everything that comes with them, can leave you feeling lost, numb, and untethered from both yourself and your partner. And regardless of how self-aware you might be or how much insight you’ve managed to gather, it isn’t always enough to create the deep, lasting change you long for.

That’s why I specialize in guiding couples and individuals beyond insight and into lasting transformative change, so that you can feel more grounded and connected to your authentic self and finally embody the life you were born to live. Throughout this process I will honor your context and cultural background, because I believe these aspects of your identity and experience are often central to healing. Therefore, I also practice from an anti-racist framework and provide LGBTQIA+ affirming care.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Washington state and North Carolina with a Master’s in Contemplative Psychotherapy, a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy and over 20 years of meditation experience, I am passionate about helping my clients connect with the wisdom of their own bodies, gaining insight into systemic and cultural patterns that have impacted who they are and how they perceive the world, cultivating kindness and compassion for them self and others, and learning tangible, concrete tools for sustainable change.

Taking a holistic approach to wellness, I pull from my vast experience in Mindfulness, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Satir Transformational Systemic Therapy and PREPARE/ENRICH, tailoring each session to the needs of my clients.

My deepest hope is that you might leave our sessions realizing the healing power of your attention and acceptance, and that you might give yourself permission to slow down, to really feel your feelings so that you might become less reactive and go on to lead a richer, deeper, more joyful life.
